Recommended Browser PDF Settings

INSTRUCTIONS:

Your Internet browser’s PDF settings may affect the way paper claims print and how certain documents display in the browser.

For information on how to configure your printer to print claims, refer to Administration: Printer Configuration.

Google Chrome

Make sure that you have the most recent version of Chrome.

  • Click Chrome Menu, select Help, and then select About Google Chrome

  • Alternatively, in the address bar, type: chrome://settings/help.

Enable or Disable Chrome PDF Viewer

  • If you want to open/view PDFs in Chrome, enable the Chrome PDF viewer.
  • If you use editable PDFs (e.g., custom forms), disable the Chrome PDF viewer so that PDF files download instead of automatically opening in Chrome. If you have Chrome PDF viewer enabled and you try to fill in an editable PDF, you can complete the PDF, but you will not be able to submit the form to NextGen® Office. You must disable the Chrome PDF viewer.

To navigate to PDF Documents Settings

  1. Click Chrome Menu and select Settings.
