Recall List

A recall list is a list of patients who require additional chart tasks, such as chart completion or  scheduling follow-ups and sending appointment reminders. This feature allows your office staff to view edit and mark eligible recalls as completed. As a convenience to the front office staff, recalls for the patient have been added to the patient chart. 

To add a patient in a "Recall List" please access the patient's chart. On the patient chart's Appointment section, click on the "Add to Recall List"

Edit a Recall

  1. Select the check box for the patient.
  2. Select Edit from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Submit.

 

  1. Make your edits.
  2. Click Save.

 

Mark Recall as Complete

  1. Select the check box(es) for the patient(s).
  2. Select Mark as Complete from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Submit.

Follow-Up and Recall List Logic

Follow-ups added to the encounter are unidirectional to the Recall List feature. This means that actions performed to Follow-Up in EHR affect Recall List in PM, but the reverse is not true. Actions performed in Recall List do not affect Follow-Up.

  • If you create a follow-up and save it to the encounter, it is sent to the PM Recall List.
  • If you modify a follow-up in the encounter, a new follow-up is sent to the PM Recall List.
  • If you modify or delete a recall in PM, no changes are reflected in the follow-up in the encounter.
  • If you have not edited or deleted the recall in the recall list, a change to the follow-up in the encounter will overwrite the follow-up on the recall list.
  • If you edit or delete a recall on the recall list, editing the follow-up in the encounter will create a duplicate follow-up on the recall list. This use case should be rare, but is possible.

Waitlisting

To add a patient in the waitlist, go to the patient’s dashboard.

Click on Add to Recall List.

 

You can then select the preferred provider of the patient.

Select “Waitlist” from the Type and the date of the appointment requested.

You can also put additional notes such as the preferred time or other details.

 

To add other categories on Type, go to Admin then click on Recall Type.

 

How to view your waitlist?

Hover your mouse on Schedule, then click on Recall List.

 

Select Waitlist from Type to view all waitlisted patients.

 

You can click on the patient’s Chart No. to directly go on their dashboard to have them scheduled.
